A large typical Provencal villa, an ideal place for a long holiday in autumn, winter or early spring! The villa can be used together with the adjacent fully equipped guesthouse (see also cottage Marjolein) which has a connection to the villa. Le Val is located approximately 40 km. from the Mediterranean coast and this means mild winters with lots of sunshine! Also in cultural terms, the Provence offers many sights to see and things to experience, see elsewhere on this site.

Through a spacious hall with inbuilt lockers, a toilet with a wash basin in the hall, you enter the spacious and attractive living room (about 25 m2) with a characteristic hearth. There is a TV cabinet with satellite TV to include English channels and a DVD player + movies. In addition, a radio-CD player. Internet via WiFi (bring your own computer) is also available. In the adjacent dining room a well-stocked bookcase is located and an antique cupboard.

Through the living room you arrive in the big, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas cooker, fridge-freezer, oven-grill, microwave, coffee espresso machine , toaster and food processor. Of course you find enough pots and pans, crockery and kitchenware. The kitchen has also a typical Provencal wood stove. The villa has two large bedrooms with built in cupboards, one with a double bed (140x200) and the other with two single beds (80x200). Bed linen and bath towels are included. The bathroom has recently been renovated and consists of a bath, a separate shower, wash basin and a toilet. In addition to that there is also a separate room for the washing machine.

The upstairs is not for hire and remains private. The house is heated by electric heaters, the wood stove and the large fireplace. The house is connected to the sewer system and there is municipal tap water.

A terrace is to be found in the front as well as in the back of the house and you can also sit in the garden on the garden chairs. You can only rent for at least 2 weeks. You get a 50 euro discount starting the 3rd week. We have special rates for longer periods.

Location, map and route

The house is within walking distance to the centre of the medieval and picturesque village Le Val, situated in a valley at about 230 m. above sea level. During daytime the temperature invites to a delicious relaxed sunning and swimming, even in the springtime. This area has 300 solar days per year! Le Val is about 30 miles from the Mediterranean Sea and has a warm climate with little rain.
In Le Val you will find two bakers, a greengrocer, a small supermarket and a pharmacy, two hairdressers, a post office (with ATM), two bars and three restaurants.
The beautiful and varied scenery is quiet, suitable for hiking, biking or car rides.
The nice shopping city Brignoles with all its facilities is located at 4 miles distance.
Le Val is reached via the A8 (from Aix-en-Provence to Nice), exit 35 Brignoles.
